Asphalt typically lasts between 10 and 20 years, depending on traffic volume, climate, and base conditions.
How do I make my asphalt last longer?
- Sealcoating every 3-5 years
- Crack sealing annually
- Repairing potholes ASAP
How long do we stay off the new asphalt?
We recommend staying off new asphalt pavement for at leasta few days, but during really hot weather you may have to stay off a bit longer. Also, this is based on weather conditions.
How thick will may asphalt be?
Your estimate should show the thickness of the asphalt that your reputable paving contractor will install. Be careful, you don’t want your asphalt paved too thin. Ask questions, but keep in mind that this is the compacted depth.
